Wings on the Water Cancelled

The Director of BirdCountry.US regrets to announce the cancellation of Wings on the Water, scheduled for this weekend, October 31 – November 2.

Director Jeff Riegel made the announcement in a press release dated Monday, October 27. “This could be due to several factors, such conflicts with the upcoming holiday season’s activities, the cost of gasoline, or even the state of the economy in general,” Riegel said. “Whatever the reasons, the number of registrants to date is simply not enough to cover the costs of holding a weekend-long event such as Wings. At this point, we are looking forward to the 9^th Annual Eagle Watch Weekend, our largest event of the year.” Eagle Watch Weekend: A Season on the Wing will be held February 6 - 8, 2009. More information will be made available at www.BirdCountry.US or www.eaglesatlakemonroe.com as soon as the schedule is finalized.
